Founder of the Museum of Vodou, Maëlle Figaro David is the recipient of the award for Third Best National Costume at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in Brazil and Second Best National Costume at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan. Both distinctions were awarded by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
