This year once gain, CaribArte, rencontres d'arts visuels sets out in search of creativity via the path of memory. 
Without reopening debates on determinism, we have invited artists to consult their Living memory /latent memory in order to author their own present and future trajectories. 
The selected works are presented in four strands. 
First, the memory of place is examined through a corpus of paintings that address the territorial fragmentation of Gaza. The memory of eras appears in dialogues with ancient worlds inspired by Egyptian and Pre-Columbian cultures. Third, the memory of events, brought to mind in a photographic approach of some recent events. Our 3rd edition ends with the memory of the personal that emerges through intimate constellations of familiar situations and objects...

*Bruce Katz is a retired teacher, founding member  and current co-president of PAJU (Palestinian and Jewish Unity), a Palestine solidarity organisation. During the past 25 years he has spoken numerous times about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on many French and English speaking media.
